Story Line:
This is a story based on a young girl named
Ruth, who despite the many hardships in her life, would like to pursue her
dream of attending college after high school though she can’t afford to.
The young girl’s grandmother (Mamma D) raises her, despite a limited income,
but instills the fact that she must always put God first, placing her trust
in Him, despite the odds.
Plot;
The school counselor begins to work with
Ruth and finds out there’s a drama program with a full-scholarship that will
be accepting students and she qualifies.
Catch:
The full-scholarship program that Ruth qualifies for only has space for 25
students –Ruth is one of the top candidates with a grade point average of
3.0. Understanding the position that she is in, she becomes all-consumed,
pleading with God to be in the top selections for the scholarship, only to
find out that someone else had a higher GPA and was accepted into the
program.
Twist:
Ruth’s disappointment causes her to begin to
doubt God and become angry. She lashes out at her Grandmother for being poor
and begins blaming her for not having money to send her to school, and for
being sick and leaving her all alone. This will break her grandmother’s
heart, yet the grandmother will still stand in faith knowing that God has
another plan that is much greater than her.
Conclusion:
Delayed prayers ...Will they be answered?
